What is IPTV?
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is the collective name for services and applications that enable television viewing over the Internet Protocol, allowing you to utilize your existing IP network to distribute television and radio channels, video, digital signage and Internet content.

What is required for IPTV?
Stable and robust network
High-speed network – a stable and fast internet connection (e.g., gigabit Ethernet or fiber-optic connections). A sufficient bandwidth capacity is required to handle the number of video streams being transmitted.
Routers and switches – devices that ensure proper data routing and distribution across the network. It’s recommended to use equipment that supports Multicast and IGMP snooping to minimize network load.
Source of IPTV signal
A media player that can broadcast over a local network using protocols (IPTV, RTSP/RTP) or to real-time streaming servers (RTMP).
Receiver
A device, devices or applications that receive a signal from an IPTV server and play it on screens. These can be media players, set-top boxes, computers, tablets, smartphones, or TVs that support IPTV. The receiving devices must be connected to the local network to receive streaming content.
Content Management Software (CMS)
Content management platform – software that allows centralized management of broadcasting, video uploads, scheduling, and monitoring equipment status. This can be dedicated Digital Signage software or general IPTV streaming management solutions.
